Kamakura Festival



Kamakura festival is a festival that is held during mid-winter, precisely on 15 and 16 February in the city of Yokote, prefekture akita. This event was held from 5 am until 9 pm. when this event took place, many people are making a snow house (igloo-or Kamakura). Kamakura was made scattered in Yokote city. This festival has existed since the time of Edo with the aim to commemorate the new year are shown on the god of water. because at that time the snow fell a lot, but rarely available in Yokote much water is required at the time of harvest. but then this festival is shown in the god of water in order to be successful as well as protection against fire. a form of respect is shown by the altar of the cult of the god of water in each Kamakura.
